Expansion device Hybrid joint NS〜LL type

Bridge expansion device that achieves high water stop, ultra-low noise, and comfortable travel, designed with consideration for the surrounding environment of the bridge [NETIS registered product].

The hybrid joint is a non-drainage expansion device developed using a composite technology of rubber and steel, achieving very high water-stopping performance by press vulcanizing and bonding steel plates and rubber. Additionally, by adopting a steel vertical shape for the load-bearing structure, the surface exposure area is minimized, enhancing sound insulation and durability. The range of products available includes both small and large items, capable of accommodating expansion amounts from 20mm to 175mm and a maximum slab gap of 395mm. 【Features】 ○ High water-stopping performance ○ Steel vertical tooth shape ○ One-lane assembly product For more details, please contact us or request a catalog.

Expansion Device Hybrid Joint [Construction Example Tokyo No. 1]

We would like to introduce examples of construction for hybrid joints (NS to LL type) for bridges, which excel in water resistance and durability.

Crittec Co., Ltd. not only sells products but often takes responsibility for installation work as well, striving to improve products by considering issues that arise during installation and the condition of removed existing expansion devices. 【Construction Case】 - Location: Tokyo - Bridge Name: Suijin Ohashi Elevated Bridge - Products: NS-20 and others - Comments: Prime contractor work. Noise reduction sheets were installed, and noise control measures were implemented. CS-50 (single-sided steel deck type) was also used. For more details, please contact us or request a catalog.

Durability 100 years, expansion device, hybrid joint, 3LII type.

Bridge expansion device proven to last 100 years! No replacement needed for new bridges for 100 years! Long-term water-tightness, maintenance-free [NEXCO specification compliant product].

The Hybrid Joint 3LII type has a vertical integrated structure of the load support plate and anchor plate, which provides high durability and prevents damage from metal fatigue. Its durability is ultra-long-term, lasting 100 years! It has been proven through fatigue loading tests conducted by a third-party organization, successfully clearing the equivalent of 12 million cycles, which corresponds to 100 years. This assumes that a 25-ton large vehicle has traveled over the 3LII type 12 million times, equating to a 100-year durability. The standard design supply period for bridges is 100 years. For newly constructed bridges, there is no need to replace the expansion devices for 100 years. The 3LII type is maintenance-free, eliminating the need for traffic regulation during sound inspections, leading to reduced maintenance costs and improved safety. It is a product capable of accommodating large expansion amounts (150–350mm) and wide gaps (up to 730mm), making it one of the largest among expansion devices that have passed NEXCO standards. It has been widely adopted on highways across the country as a product that meets NEXCO specifications. For more details, please contact us or request a catalog.
